Take back your time with a bread maker

It’s getting more and more difficult for me to find time to cook real meals. There’s always so much to do, I don’t want to spend a lot of time cooking or baking along with washing up. When I get a dishwasher this might not be such a problem, but right now I need things as quickly as possible! That’s why I finally decided to get a bread maker – something that I’d been putting off for a long time.

The one I decided to get was the Panasonic SD2501-WXC. It’s the most expensive on the market at the moment, but I think it’s definitely worth the extra price. You get a lot of features for your money, such as a timer, a gluten free program for people who’re sensitive to gluten (which some of my family are so this is very useful) and a number of different types of mode. At the moment the rye bread and pizza dough settings are my favourites, but I haven’t had a chance to try them all yet.

I mentioned the gluten free cycle before but I wanted to say a bit more about it. People who don’t have a gluten intolerance don’t really understand how difficult it can be to get good bread that doesn’t cause them a lot of pain. A few family members have this problem (luckily not me), and it really is difficult when they come round. The gluten free mode makes a really nice loaf of bread (although obviously not quite with the same taste as breads with gluten in), although you can’t set it on a timer.

If anyone is looking to get a bread maker I think it’s definitely worth paying a bit extra and going for the SD2501-WXC rather than anything else. It’s more money but it’s definitely the best!
